Mold Remediation

Mold can be extremely problematic on many levels.  It has an unpleasant odor, can create health concerns for the very young, very old and for those with compromised immune systems or breathing problems.  Mold eats and digests what it is growing on, releasing toxins as it grows.   If left to flourish, it can cause serious structural damage to your home or business.  In essence, mold can slowly, and quite literally, devour your investment.

Mold needs only two things to take root and flourish: moisture and oxygen.  These areas are at significant risk:
Leaking water pipes or water condensing on pipes inside wall cavities
  Leaking roofs or windows
  Leaking fire sprinkler systems
Unvented or improper venting of bathrooms and appliances
Landscaping, gutters, and downspouts that dump water into or under a building
Garages and basements that are not climate controlled
Any area that maintains a humidity level of 60% or higher

  • Leaking air conditioners, dishwashers, and hot water heaters

All of these conditions provide enough moisture for mold to thrive in. Although mold can be easily cleaned on hard surfaces, once it has attached itself to a porous surface, it grows “roots”.  It can slowly burrow into wood or drywall, so even though you may have visibly removed it from a surface, the mold is still there and will reappear shortly after because it wasn’t eliminated completely.  Mold can even grow beneath wallpaper and paint, flooring, wood, fabric, paper or insulation; if it’s damp or wet it is the perfect environment for mold to grow!

Eliminating ALL mold and mold spores indoors is virtually impossible, but maintaining the indoor relative humidity level between 30% and 50% and keeping the structure dry, will control the growth of indoor mold.  It’s important to make sure that you have acceptable humidity levels and do not provide an environment in which it can flourish.

Containment: EMPIRE will contain the area, preventing contamination of adjacent areas. REMOVE: We will Remediate, removing damaged, infested materials.  Treat the area to be sure that future growth will be inhibited.  Rebuild the area to pre-loss condition.

Guaranteed.  We guarantee that once we have remediated the area that it will pass a mold test performed by a Certified Hygienist for acceptable safe levels or we will come back and provide further remediation until it does, at no additional cost to you.  (Please ask for details!)
